Ripped by Katy Evans

The fifth story in the new adult series that began with the New York Times bestseller REAL.

New Adult Contemporary
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Release: December 9, 2014
Every woman wants me--except the one I sing for.
Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.
But when you love a girl, you don't leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.
So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?
Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.
When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I'm a god--but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl's not happy to see me.
Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that's her -- Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she's out for my blood.
That's alright.
Let her come at me. Because I'm out for her heart and, this time, there's no way she can stop me.

My Review: 4 Stars
I read Real by Katy Evans probably way after everyone else, it was about the time Remy was coming out, but once I started reading I couldn't stop and I read the next two books in a matter of days from when I first started Real. I read Rogue right after it came out and was really excited for Ripped to come out so I could find out more about the angry Pandora. When I got the opportunity to participate in the tour for this book I jumped at the chance because I was so looking forward to this book. When I started reading it, just like Real, I couldn't put it down even while trying to slow down because I didn't want it to end. I loved Real, but I think this one might be my favorite of the series. Coming into Ripped, we really didn't know much about Pandora other than she is friends with Brooke and Melanie, she wears a LOT of black,  she hates men and is angry all the time. Well, it turns out there is a whole lot more to Pandora. She has loved with her whole heart (MacKenna before he was a rock god) and because of the loss of that love she was completely broken. So when his band comes to town she decides that she is going to do something to embarrass the man that broke her heart. Enter MacKenna, the front man from Crack Bikini and someone we hate because of what he "did" to Pandora. Crack Bikini's (that's the bands name, I swear) manager finds out that not only is the girl "Pandora" from their hit song real but she is the person who ruins the show in Seattle, he decides that she needs to come along with the band on the rest of the tour to help spice up the movie they are making. From there on out, sparks fly, while they loathed each other, neither can deny that they are attracted to each other. Since I hate giving too much away when it comes to books, I will just say from this point on we find out that a lot of things weren't as they seemed and that there is definitely two sides to every story and that some things that are broken can be fixed. Like I said, I think this one was my favorite in the series so I would recommended it to anyone who loved the first book, as well anyone who loves a "bad-boy" rocker story.- J

BOOK BLURB: A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint... He'll give her exactly what she needs… Protecting a princess is not what former marine Gordon Waybrook signed up for when he joined the Shillings Agency. But instead of the spoiled, regal little creature he expects, Isabelle VanGuard is a fiery, sexy-as hell woman who's been denied what she needs for too long. And he's just the man to break through her frozen public facade and give it to her. When she's with Gordon, all Isabelle can think about is pleasure. Their blistering chemistry is immediate and intense, but volatile. In fact, the only thing they agree on is that their one night together is just that—one night. Even after it becomes more. But tempers and temptation can't disguise reality. Isabelle is a princess, and a hot, hard, and tattooed bodyguard isn't the Prince Charming her country expects…even if he's exactly what she needs.

B&N -

He tightened his grip on her shoulder. “You might own a fucking country, but tonight...I own you. Understood, Princess?” She gasped, her stomach tightening at his naughty words. She’d never, ever been spoken to like that. Never talked dirty. It was a heady rush that she was doing it now. Here. With him. “I understand.”
He lowered his face to hers, their lips a scant inch apart.
“Are you sure you want this? I’m only going to ask you this one time. You’re a grown ass woman, so I won’t ask you if you’ve changed your mind every other step we take toward that bed.” “I want this.” She reached out and curled her hands around his nape, her fingers brushing the soft curl that rested just below his ear. “I want you.” “Then you’re mine,” he said. “You have been since you sat next to me in that coffee shop.” She nodded frantically, needing him to get on with it. To claim her. “Yes. I’m yours.” He growled and closed the distance between them, his lips crashing to hers. The second they touched, she knew that this would be unlike any experience she’d ever had. Gordon was undeniably sexy, and she was attracted to him more so than she’d ever been attracted to another man before, but that wasn’t what would make this so different. It was him, and the way he made her feel. Every single caress, every soft move he made, sent a surge of lust crashing through her veins. He said he’d own her tonight, and he was right. He totally did.

BL Amazon

Today we are revealing the cover for BLURRED LINES by Jen McLaughlin. This is the highly-anticipated adult standalone novel that is part of the New York Times Bestselling OUT OF LINE series. The book will be released on January 26, 2015.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00066]

Once burned... Finding my fiancée naked on my couch might’ve been a good thing, if her ex-boyfriend hadn’t been with her. For the past eight years I’ve been a witness to the power of true love, but after getting burned I’d decided there wasn’t any hope for me finding it for myself. Until I met Noelle Brandt in a hotel bar. Maybe it wasn’t the most romantic meeting, but the moment I met her I knew I had to have her. The more I learn about her, the more I know I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her. Twice shy... I’d already found the love of my life, but I’d lost that love forever. And I’d been lost ever since. But one night a wounded man makes all of that go away. He makes me laugh, live, and feel alive. When he tells me he has no intention of letting me go, I finally begin to believe in the power of true love again. That is, until I find out who he really is…and by then, it’s far too late to correct the mistakes we’ve already made. By the time we both know the truth, the lines have already been blurred beyond recognition.

We also wanted to reveal the brand new cover for FRACTURED LINES, book #4 in the OUT OF LINES series!

Diamonds and Dust by Jessie Evans Blog Tour

A sexy second chance romance from NYT and USA Today Bestselling author Jessie Evans

The home run neither of them expected…

Pike Sherman is a legend in Lonesome Point, a hometown boy who made it to the big leagues. Literally. Professional baseball acquired one hell of a pitching arm and its latest celebrity bad boy when the gifted Pike was drafted seven years ago. Pike’s broken heart came along for the ride, too, but he kept that private, and since leaving Lonesome Point has kept his distance from his hometown. But when Pike’s little sister, Mia, begs him to be the Dude of Honor at her wedding, he can’t refuse. He takes advantage of a break in the season and returns home to find himself thrown together with the one woman he never wanted to see again.

Tulsi Hearst is on the verge of losing her Equine Therapy business, and letting down all the kids she’s come to love. After a mix-up with the grant board, she needs to concentrate on finding more funding, not dealing with Pike Sherman, the boy she sacrificed so much for, and the one person she’s ever lied to. And what a lie it is… Pike would hate her if he found out. She knows she should stay far away from the brooding man her summer love has become, but Tulsi can’t resist a slow dance with the only boy who ever made her blood rush.

After just a few days back in Lonesome Point, Pike can’t imagine life without the girl he left behind, but when Tulsi’s secret is revealed, his heart is broken all over again. The only thing worse than losing Tulsi, is losing six years with the daughter he didn’t know he had.

My Review: 4 Stars

I love Jessie Evans' books, to the point where I have basically read everything she has written (though now that I type that I think there is one I haven't read yet, but I digress). I love that her books have the perfect balance of humor, sexy, drama and characters that are likable and relatable. Diamonds and Dust has that and more. Tulsi is a great character that I instantly liked in the first book of the series for how she acts herself as well as how she interacts with her daughter (Clem is great by the way, awesome child). Also since the first book I wanted to know more about Tulsi and Clem and how she came to be a single mother at such a young age and Diamonds and Dust gave me that story. I don't like giving out spoilers so I will just say that I throughly enjoyed (even the emotionally tough parts) this book. We finally got to meet Pike, Mia's brother that we have heard about since the first book, and there is more to him than just the baseball star. There is the guy that loves his family but is constantly at battle with his father (his father seems to be the type of dad that doesn't know how to show his son love without his baseball career being part of it), the guy that has closed himself off to love since he had his heart broken when he was younger, the guy that would do anything for his little sister because he loves her that much. Seeing Pike and Tulsi butt heads and then NOT butt heads (wink, wink) was great. The way they interact together, they way Tulsi is able to fully be herself around him, was something I enjoyed reading. I started reading this book the second I got it and couldn't put it down until I was finished. I highly recommend Diamonds and Dust and all of Jessie Evans' books to everyone. They are refreshing, humorous, sassy, sexy and fun.
