Ripped by Katy Evans

The fifth story in the new adult series that began with the New York Times bestseller REAL.

New Adult Contemporary
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Release: December 9, 2014
Every woman wants me--except the one I sing for.
Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.
But when you love a girl, you don't leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.
So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?
Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.
When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I'm a god--but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl's not happy to see me.
Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that's her -- Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she's out for my blood.
That's alright.
Let her come at me. Because I'm out for her heart and, this time, there's no way she can stop me.

My Review: 4 Stars
I read Real by Katy Evans probably way after everyone else, it was about the time Remy was coming out, but once I started reading I couldn't stop and I read the next two books in a matter of days from when I first started Real. I read Rogue right after it came out and was really excited for Ripped to come out so I could find out more about the angry Pandora. When I got the opportunity to participate in the tour for this book I jumped at the chance because I was so looking forward to this book. When I started reading it, just like Real, I couldn't put it down even while trying to slow down because I didn't want it to end. I loved Real, but I think this one might be my favorite of the series. Coming into Ripped, we really didn't know much about Pandora other than she is friends with Brooke and Melanie, she wears a LOT of black,  she hates men and is angry all the time. Well, it turns out there is a whole lot more to Pandora. She has loved with her whole heart (MacKenna before he was a rock god) and because of the loss of that love she was completely broken. So when his band comes to town she decides that she is going to do something to embarrass the man that broke her heart. Enter MacKenna, the front man from Crack Bikini and someone we hate because of what he "did" to Pandora. Crack Bikini's (that's the bands name, I swear) manager finds out that not only is the girl "Pandora" from their hit song real but she is the person who ruins the show in Seattle, he decides that she needs to come along with the band on the rest of the tour to help spice up the movie they are making. From there on out, sparks fly, while they loathed each other, neither can deny that they are attracted to each other. Since I hate giving too much away when it comes to books, I will just say from this point on we find out that a lot of things weren't as they seemed and that there is definitely two sides to every story and that some things that are broken can be fixed. Like I said, I think this one was my favorite in the series so I would recommended it to anyone who loved the first book, as well anyone who loves a "bad-boy" rocker story.- J
